Smaller lakes that don’t really deserve their own complete page as there won’t be that many routes to be honest. However stunning lakes in their own right!
Thirlmere a very lovely little reservoir with dramatic scenery. Obviously don’t ignore the signs regarding water temperature and machinery hidden below the surface. Pictures
Wastwater a fantastic little lake with some fantastic scenery. Apparently the best view in England. Even on a cloudy day the sheer rock faces and seeing the greater fells disappear into the clouds is simply stunning! A long drive for most but well worth it. We intend to go back, possibly in the summer with canoes and BBQ’s. Could even look for campsites?!
Heading toward the top end of the lake. Very little to be explored in terms of rivers up this end but great views and superb reflections on the water.
